Четене с разбиране (Reading comprehension)
Урокът учи как да четем текст на английски с разбиране, както се изисква на ДЗИ и на международните изпити. Учим две основни техники: skimming (бързо четене за общата идея) и scanning (търсене на конкретна информация като дата, име или число). Упражняваме се да разбираме изрази като despite, unlike, rarely, if ever и да правим изводи от текста, дори когато нещо не е казано директно. Важно е отговорът винаги да се опира на текста, а не на собственото мнение.
Какво да запомним
- Skimming: бързо четене за общата идея на текста.
- Scanning: търсене на конкретна информация (дата, име, число).
- Заглавието и картинките помагат да предвидим темата (predict) преди четене.
- Свързващи думи: however и unlike показват контраст, despite означава 'въпреки'.
- Inference: извод от текста, напр. 'Had the team trained harder, they might have won' означава, че отборът е загубил.

'Despite the heavy rain, the concert went ahead as planned.' Концертът се е състоял: went ahead означава 'състоя се', а despite показва, че дъждът не е попречил.
